It's The Little Things

Tonight I'm feeling better.  Much better.

I've come to peace with how my life is now, and I'm excited and optimistic about the future.

B left to visit his parents and left Hunter and I to ourselves tonight.  I was thankful for that.  Hunter woke up crying, and I was able to sit in the leather rocking chair downstairs and rock him to sleep while lullaby's were playing in the background.  If B was here, that would have never happened.  It felt so good sitting with my little boy in my arms, his tiny arms clinging to my neck.

That is bliss.

  1. Now that's a precious moment for sure. I love when my granddaughter does that.

  2. I could always rock my daughter to sleep, and sometimes I had a hard time putting her down...

  3. I have to tell you, when my hubby is working late, my kids and I cuddle in my bed and fall asleep together. My secret confession is I actually sleep best this way!
