Hunter and I had planned to hit the road and visit my parents up North for the weekend, but unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating so we stayed put. So it's now Monday, and hopefully the snow will stop long enough for us to get through the Adirondacks. I am very excited to see my parents, and to just escape thinking about the split for a while. I've been trying so hard to keep my happy face on for Hunter, and I've been succeeding, for the most part. Yesterday though, just one phone call from him and I was in pieces. All of my built up resolve and all of those pep-talks to myself went down the drain for 10 minutes. I had to go up to the bathroom so H couldn't see me. Still caring is the hardest part.
On a brighter note, my bff Erin and I, along with her son and Hunter went to the Museum of Science and Technology on Saturday, which was a total blast! It was so exciting to see the kids roam around this place filled with hands on, kid level manipulative. I think the highlight was the massive fish tank filled with turtles and all sorts of marine life. Very cool and very inexpensive, so we are definitely planning a return trip soon. After arriving home, we suited the kids up and let them play outside for a good hour. Hunter took his longest nap that day!
Best buds!
They are so cute out there in the snow! :)
