If I Were As Young As I Feel, I'd be 18

Yesterday was my birthday.  I am now officially 27.

My friend Erin asked me if I feel differently.  It's like asking if you feel like a woman after losing your virginity.

Not so much!  Another day, another wrinkle;)

Babe was so sweet and helpful.  What made my day?  The fact that he finally installed the baby gate at the foot of the stairs, so I don't have to continuously  barricade the stairway with bar stools and what-have-you to keep Hunter from climbing up stairs any chance he gets.  How many times have I found him with his hands happily splish-splashing  in the upstairs toilet bowl?

Yeah.

Way too many to count.

So he installed the gate, and momma bear was happy as a clam.

The rest of our day consisted of eating, drinking, eating more and drinking a lot more while watching the Superbowl.  I have to say though, I am not a football girl.  As hard as I try to be, I just can't do it.  Maybe it's the whole watching-on-TV-thing that I can't stomach.  Sitting down to watch any sort of sport on TV brings on the yawns big time.  But,  it's the Superbowl, right?  You can't not watch.  At least some of it, anyway.   I am, however,  a Superbowl halftime and commercial gal..  Halftime was decent with The Who, but the commercials were just downright crap-tastic. What happened to funny?  Since the whole Janet Jackson nip-slip, the halftime shows and commercials have really gone downhill.  Don't get me wrong-I like Bruce Springsteen, The Who and Paul McCartney, but for a halftime show?  Maybe back in the 80's.   Before 2004, many of the performances were off the hook, with fun, eye catching performances.  Now, I feel like the networks are all playing it safe and going super conservative.

Here's a message for you money hungry networks: loosen up!  Bring in the LOL's instead of the ZZZ's.

On a serious note-thanks to my wonderful friends and family for making yesterday a truly special day (and getting my mind off of the whole getting older thing).  Don't worry, I won't be going all Heidi Montag on you anytime soon.

Or..like..ever.  Yikes.

I'm not a big fan of the frozen cadaver look, thank you very much:)

...I simply couldn't resist.;)
