Happy Belated Christmas!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they asked from Santa!  My son was so excited with the wrapping paper, he sort of forgot about the presents that were inside.  hehe.

It's been far too long since my last post.  My reason?  I've been visiting my parents who live in the middle of nowhere with shaky cell service and even worse internet connection.  I've been itching to get on the internet, and finally found a library. Woo hoo!  At least some form of connection with the outside world!

Things have been crazy lately, but coming back to Northern NY where I grew up really calms me.  In the past, I never really appreciated where I cam from and how beautiful it truly is.  I guess when you live in a place for so long, it all seems so normal that you just take advantage of it-until you move away.  Now, when I come back to visit, I realize why my parents never want to leave this place.  ( I, on the other hand, always wanted to leave).  Now that I'm older, I take in every little detail.  The peacefulness.  The people.  The scenery.  How quaint the little shops are.  How there is such a strong sense of community.  When you have children, you really "get it".

Maybe, just maybe, I could see myself coming back here to live someday.  Maybe.

Right now it truly is a winter wonderland, and the view from my parent's new house over the river is breathtaking.  Soon the ice will be hard enough to go snowshoeing, which I'm thinking I might give a whirl at some point later this winter.  We'll see.

I'll be here until after New Years, so I won't be writing as much until the 3rd of January. I'll try to make it down to this little library every day so that I can update, however.  I really feel like I'm in Clampit-ville, and I'm truely loving it.  Tomorrow I'll be sure to post the winner of the FanDangling, so stay tuned!

And now I'm off to the bank...which is a half hour away.:)

  1. Enjoy your time up north. Bundle up and get those snow shoes on. Mine are hanging in the garage waiting for us to have enough snow to use them.

I miss the Adirondacks and up north!
